A thematic, process-oriented approach serves as the basis of Cornelia Stahl’s work. Life and humans as such are seen as main sources of inspiration. Her perception and interpretations are expressed through the artistic means available to her. For the past few years, Cornelia has been strolling through the streets of Antwerp, wandering around with a camera close to her eyes and her soul. More than the human presence, she seems interested in the traces of the human left behind – capturing the light and the shadows of our history, rich and abundant, profuse and often baroque.
